It is hard to capture my gratitude toward him, or the myriad of things that make him an outstanding clinician in a short review, but I will give it a try. I found Dr. Chopra, and Zen Minds Psychiatry, when my mental health was the worst it has been in my life. (For context, I have suffered from mood disorders for nearly four decades.) I had been struggling with my mood disorder for close to five years and had been through multiple medication changes that had left me feeling discouraged, despairing and physically ill. Dr. Chopra is truly expert with psychopharmacology and has worked with me to find a medication regimen that I am comfortable with, has strong data to support it, and will help my conditions. Equally as important, Dr. Chopra is compassionate and empathic. He listens without judgment or ego and truly cares. He is also accessible, responds quickly to questions, and even checked in with me regularly while I was in an inpatient setting because he was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing. In other words, Dr. Chopra is a scientist but also a healer. He “walks the walk” and has become a crucial member of my care team. If you have complex mental health issues and need a psychiatrist who is expert in medication management but also has an exceptional bedside manner; who will always be in your corner and won’t give up on you; who will answer your questions and let you show up as your real self, you have come to the right place by seeking care at Zen Minds Psychiatry with Dr. Chopra.
