  After 11 years of not even a scare of pregnancy, I found out I was expecting our third baby at 36 years old. We had moved cross country and my OBGYN that delivered my first two babies was all the way back in AZ. I am an anxious person with doctors and wanted someone like my old OB...so whatever Dr I picked had some huge shoes to fill. It had been 11 years since I had even been to a doctor. Dr Wiese met with me first for a consult in his office(as I believe he does all his new patients) before doing my standard well women's exam which made me very comfortable. Not all doctors do this, it's just talk with a nurse, then see the doc for 5 seconds before their hands are all up in your lady parts which is so uncomfortable male or female doctor. I got super tense during the exam and he talked me through it - reminded me to keep talking actually lol it kept my mind off everything. He can be a jokester but serious when needed and I find keeping the room light helps my anxiety. I don't understand the women that get so upset over a couple jokes that they likely have made themselves amongst friends. He has respected my wishes so far for my pregnancy even if he didn't agree with things. Like for the glucose test... I didn't want to take it because it made me so sick with my first two babies. He was going to let it slide/let me manage testing sugars at home but with my family history of diabetes he was obviously concerned. At my next visit a month later, staff shared with me a newer testing method Dr Wiese had come across using Jelly beans and they offered that instead. As much as I loved my Dr back in AZ, he never gave me any other options for this test. Dr Weise did. I passed my test and best of all I didn't get sick as a dog or almost black out! Don't let a few comments in a Facebook group scare you. I chose Dr Wiese for his knowledge, experience, & cool/calm and funny demeanor. My kids come to some of my appointments with me and he jokes with them, talks to them about school, etc. Like he's an uncle or something. He laughs with my husband. & I just jump in their conversation and laugh with them at times. He hasn't been seeing patients and delivering babies for 37+ years with 95% positive reviews by being crude, rude, impatient and uncaring. Sense of humor that's not everyone's cup of tea? Sure. But that's life. We aren't going to like everyone/everything. But the negative bedside manner comments...and those who can't laugh at his humor...I don't understand. I'd rather have someone that felt like family over a sterile, boring doctor you can't have a conversation with. I for one know that my baby and I will be in good hands come C-section time & that's what matters most. I don't get comfortable with doctors and am not a fan of today's health system in general so choosing Dr Wiese wasn't a small decision for me. But a decision I'm glad I made!

  Such a wonderful Doctor! Makes you feel at ease. Staff is so friendly and helpful.

  Dr. Wiese is great! He is personable, kind, understanding, attentive and really wants his patients to get the care they need even if he is unable to provide it. He referred me to a specialist in Chicago when he realized my issues were too great for him to handle. I greatly appreciate him doing that instead of attempting a difficult and very intricate surgery he was not comfortable performing. I returned to him for normal care following that surgery, and he has always been wonderful to deal with. His office staff is great as well. I highly recommend him.

  I got pregnant when I saw 17 and had my son at 18 (2014). I went to Dr. Wiese because my sister in laws bother referred me to him and I didnt have a gynecologist myself yet. He was EXTREMELY rude and kept making snide remarks about my age among other things when I was alone with him in the exam room. I will NEVER reccomend him to my friends and family nor will I be returning to this office. I would however reccomend any young mothers thinking about using him to reconsider and choose someone else.

  Dr. Wiese is great! I feel comfortable with him and he is down to earth. I highly recommended him as a doctor.
