- JCJulieanna CazaresJul 14, 20251.0Called in (would be considered a new patient) spoke to front desk to try getting my 2 year old son an appointment for a reoccurring sty. Receptionist stated it would be over a month wait to get in as a new patient. Ive worked for an ophthalmologist in the past (that unfortunately does not see pediatric patients) for about 5 years. We would NEVER make a patient wait over a month to be seen if it were due to a medical reason/emergency. Routine care? I’d understand the wait. But for a 2 year old coming in for a medical reason?? To wait a month and a half to be seen?? Not sure if these are regulations set by the doctors themselves or just the receptionist being lazy and not taking the initiative to speak to the specialist regarding the matter. But definitely not a great first impression.

I was the second person in the door yesterday morning (11/19/2020) with an 8:30 appt. and I did not see the doctor until almost 10:30. And we happen to be in the middle of a pandemic but you would never know it judging by all the people they had packed into their tiny little cramped office space and waiting room. NOT OK.
