- HSH SuttonMar 22, 20241.0Be mindful to check your insurance coverage before EVERY visit because if they stop taking your insurance they will not notify you and you will be liable for the bill in full and they are completely non-caring and unwilling to take any liability to resolve the matter once that happens. Had seen Dr Howard Marcus previously, went in for GYN problem, paid my normal copay then 1 month later I got a bill for the amount in full, the office feigned ignorance and not understanding why I got billed, after a week of back and forth I was told tough luck your plan is the one blue cross plan we do not take and you have to pay the bill. I accept some responsibility I should have checked but I am used to offices or my plan notifying me when providers I've recently seen are no longer in network. If anything some discount should have been offered since both parties were at fault. I waited a month to get an appointment because I had already established a relationship with this doctor less than 6 months prior, I would have gone elsewhere had I known I would end up paying almost $200 for him to ask me the same things they asked on the phone in person in less than 15 minutes and give orders for me to go somewhere else. I'm disgusted and I will actively discourage anyone I know from seeking care with them.
