The gentleman that took me back was very pleasant. He got my vitals and got my kids some snacks and said the provider would be in in just a few minutes 30 minutes later the provider finally showed up in the room to ask me two questions that took a total of 45 seconds at the most and he left the room then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the lab lady to come in and she was very pleasant But waiting that long and being told multiple times that no one knew what they were doing made me very uneasy.

I had an approved FMLA leave related to a medical condition, and I only required an extension of my existing documentation due to my ongoing symptoms. However, instead of reviewing my situation or providing the required follow-up paperwork, the provider at Concentra referred me to the Emergency Room, despite my condition not being an emergency. This decision was not only unnecessary but also placed my employment and my family’s financial stability at serious risk, since my company now refuses to accept additional documentation that does not come from the same provider. I clearly explained my situation and emphasized that I simply needed a short extension based on the same diagnosis, but my request was denied. As a result, I was forced to seek emergency care that was unrelated to any urgent medical need, and my job security was jeopardized due to Concentra’s lack of understanding of FMLA procedures and continuity of care. I Hope Concentra take appropriate measures to ensure that patients who are under FMLA protection are treated with proper care, respect, and responsibility — not referred to emergency rooms unnecessarily or left without appropriate documentation. This situation has affected not only me as a worker but also my entire family, who depend on my ability to maintain my employment. Hopefully this dont happen to anybody else. I dont recommend this place.
