- NDNirvana DayOct 11, 20251.0I had a terrible experience with this dentist. He never introduced himself, didn’t speak during the entire root canal, and gave no explanation of what was happening. During the procedure, bleach went down my throat and burned — which is absolutely not safe practice. He didn’t apologize or check if I was okay. The whole experience felt careless, rushed, and very unprofessional. I left in pain and completely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone looking for safe or respectful care.
- BSbyron sueyOct 11, 20251.0I was referred from my Dentist for root canal. The Dr asked which tooth we were doing so I picked the worst. Then for the root canal he asked whether I wanted the crown on or off. I’m not a dentist and had no idea so I said I guess take it off (how could I know he could do a root canal through it). He did the root canal and then when he went to put my crown back on, it would not fit, and he took both of his thumbs, and pushed it up as hard as he could, until I heard my teeth popping. I looked at his assistant when I tried to bite down and said I can’t even bite down because my crown is not even close to being back on and she said something to him. He looked at me and said I’m not adjusting that crown and that was the end of it. I went back to my dentist the next day in severe pain and they took the crown off and said that it was full of cement and they could not believe that he had not cleared the old cement out of that crown before putting it back on my tooth. They had to make me a new crown and it cost me $700 because my old crown was not more than five years old. Worst dentist I’ve ever been into in my life. Least personable doctor or professional and office I’ve been to in my 50 years.

I felt better for couple of days then unremitting pain I had for several months after. I had several visits to my regular dentists to identify the root of the problem. Overall, I am not impressed by the service or care provided by Dr. Hurt. I would not recommend to a friend.
