My daughter had fillings done here and was very cooperative to the procedure, gave absolutely no push back or hard time to the dentist or the assistants. We went back months later for a cleaning and the dentist suggested pulling out a wiggly tooth. My daughter declined and said she would prefer to try to wiggle it out at home. The dentist referred us to a different location to have a filling that fell out (her own work) corrected. This other location was over an hour from our house. To my face, the dentist said this was due to the fact that they would get us in sooner. When I called first smiles at a later date to see if and when they could fit me in (once I realized just how far this other location was) I was then told they were sending my daughter elsewhere due to behavior issues. Imagine my shock! She gave this office absolutely zero troubles and they gave her nothing but compliments during the actual dental work (fillings) she had done here. Also, for a pediatric dentist - wouldn’t you expect and be equipped for pushback? This makes me even more worried for children that don’t handle the dentist well. To make matters worse, once this information on my daughter’s alleged “behavior” was shared with me, I requested numerous calls from an office manager, anyone in charge, and eventually gave up because no one would get back to me and at this point they were screening my calls. I left 3 more messages requesting my daughters records which legally we are entitled to in a timely manner- which I STILL to this date have not received, nor a call back. For reference, this occurred in August. Once the information was relayed to me that they were sending my daughter elsewhere due to alleged behavior, this office has not answered a single one of my phone calls, nor have they returned any of my numerous voicemails. Not only am I entitled to my child’s records, but also the right to hear an explanation as to why they are denying her care. In short: they absolutely do not care about your children - find somewhere that does.
