- SHS HDec 30, 20251.0We brought our child in for a routine cleaning/exam. We declined X-rays for our child. Both the dentist and the receptionist were very pushy about needing the xrays. We are both health professionals, and don't believe in routine imaging, unless there is an actual medical concern (I don't buy into the "minute" radiation exposure as a justification for annual X-rays). The dentist gave us zero feedback on his physical examination/inspection of our child's mouth/teeth. We essentially just had our child's teeth cleaned, with no dental professional exam, which I find unethical. Lastly, I did not like that parents are discouraged from joining the actual appointment. It's weird.
