I came in for an HRT continuation appointment after switching from Howard Brown after more than a decade, and the service experience is truly night and day. Aaliyah checked me in, and did a fantastic job making me feel welcome and cared for. after that, i had the most amazing experience with Shayna, who made my appointment feel like meeting a friend rather than going to a doctor’s office. she was friendly, polite, and an absolute joy to spend time with. when i had to have blood drawn, her skill made the process feel effortless. Shayna even checked in with me after she left to make sure i was feeling okay, and offered to check in if there was any delay with the nurse, which thankfully there wasn’t. Stephanie treated me in such a warm and professional manner, and really made me feel in charge of my own care. truly, i could not imagine a better time - everyone here is operation in the highest level, and it makes me proud to be part of Chicago. keep fighting the good fight, y’all ☻

I went in to get an IUD placed. I was really scared. I had gotten one before and the pain was like medieval torture, and the practitioners were pretty cruel and didn't treat me like a person (this was in DC, years ago). I let anyone at the clinic who would listen know that I was scared. The NP who came in was really kind and understanding. I ended up tapping out and bursting into tears about it, that I didn't want to do it anymore, and she was so incredible. She stopped immediately and gathered the tools and gave me some time to myself to cry it out, checked on me that I was ok, then returned a final time to let me know that they could reschedule to do it under sedation. Didn't make me feel inconvenient or ridiculous or anything, even if I felt that way

9/2/2025 - 9am Failed Appt Summary
I will not be returning to this location for any future medical needs. I was quoted two separate prices — one over the phone and one in person. Even w/ the scaling fee their price was high compared to other locations. The PPH number I called gave me an estimate over the phone and I understand it may have been a call center — I did not fault the reception for this. However, you could tell off rip by her tone when she answered through the intercom that she may be unpleasant. She appeared to be latina, like myself. Her being the first point of contact will make you lose clientele. She went over a few different numbers with me in regards to taking certain services off and looked at me oddly when I was repeating the numbers back when trying to get clarification on how much the appointment would be. I was paying out of pocket. I decided not to proceed with the appointment and communicated this to her. She returned my ID and said nothing else. For someone to respond in this manner at 9am at that is concerning. It was my first time visiting this location. I would not want someone who is blatantly rude to handle my personal or financial information. Additionally, parking is inconvenient. They have a shared parking lot with Dollar General and there was a truck providing shipment directly in the middle of the parking lot. I paid for street parking. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
