- RMRay MauntelDec 19, 20255.0Great experience, but just some things to know: I have small eye openings, so the tool they use to keep the eye open during the operation was the most uncomfortable part, requiring a few extra attempts to get a good connection. There's only 10ish seconds of lazer action per eye, and you can smell "burning hair". That's your eye. No pain on the eye, just pressure - they numb you with special drops. Just some discomfort on the surrounding area from the tools keeping your eye open. My right eye is perfect left still a tiny bit blurry, but I'm told that it will notmalize over the next month as the eye heals. Very informative and comforting staff, they're prepared for you to be really nervous. I even got a foam football to squeeze when I was in the operation room.
