  I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like this experience needs to be shared for anyone considering this office. I went in for an appointment about two weeks ago, had X-rays done, and received a full treatment plan. At that first visit, they clearly mentioned debridement and wisdom tooth removal — nothing about a deep cleaning. Fast forward to my appointment for the debridement, and suddenly I’m told I need to come back again for a deep cleaning. Nothing about my teeth or X-rays had changed between appointments, yet the story completely changed. The person treating me told me something different from what the dentist had said, and then changed their explanation again after I questioned it. I heard three different versions of what my treatment plan supposedly was, which made me lose confidence in their consistency and transparency. Because of this confusion, I asked for an estimate for the next appointment. They quoted over $700 for a deep cleaning (That’s after insurance), on top of the debridement. That price is around seven times higher than what other dental offices charge (Dentologie) - now decide for yourself if this place is going to offer 7 times better job then the dentists at Dentologie. It really made me question whether the pricing was fair or inflated, especially after receiving conflicting information from multiple people. Overall, my experience felt inconsistent, confusing, and overpriced. Between the mixed messages, a changing treatment plan, and costs far above their competitors, I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable continuing my care here

  I had an amazing experience at my dental appointment today! The entire team was professional, friendly, and incredibly patient. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well cared for. They explained everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable, and handled my treatment with such care and precision. I truly appreciate how attentive they were — even my little Onyx was welcomed with a smile! Thank you for consistently providing exceptional service. I always leave feeling confident and taken care of. Highly recommend!

  Is it possible to feel like family at a dentist's office?? Somehow, at the Art of Modern Dentistry, the answer is a resounding YES! Dr. Daftary and her staff (shout out to Toni!!) are the kindest and hardest working dentistry group I've ever visited. From the moment you walk in the door, you are welcomed by the competent and friendly ladies at the front desk. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure your comfort and understanding of any procedures. They are also meticulous in performing their services. Dr. D has a no nonsense approach, but also manages to get to know her patients and cares about them and hearing about their lives. In some ways, it almost has the same vibe and feeling of going to the salon to get your hair done (think Steel Magnolias), except you're chatting with the very skilled and always professional Dr. D! - who also has quite the reputation for providing flawless veneers - a true testament to the "Art" part of the name. And, who doesn't loveToni?! Not only is she a cancer survivor, but she is extremely talented and knowledgeable when it comes to managing her Invisalign patients. I'm just so glad I found this office and these amazing people!! Going to the dentist is obviously very stressful for most, people. The experience you get at Dr. D's office is anything but - this is an office you can trust and count on to receive the treatment you need and the results you want!!

  Got a Cleaning, Exam, and X-rays from this wonderful group of professionals. I had not been to a dental office in a couple years due to extreme stress. Dr. Daftary was very thorough in her assessment on the health of my teeth and very understanding to my anxieties. I felt heard by her and her associates discussing my dental health, and they were transparent and kind with their review. I am thankful for their advice and I am fortunate to have access to such a great network of dental professionals in the South Loop.

  I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I feel it’s important to caution others. My experience with this office raised serious concerns about transparency in their billing practices. The quote I received listed a “standard fee” and an “adjustment,” with the adjustment nearly matching the standard fee — and the math was inconsistent throughout. The adjustment was shown as an added charge where it appeared negative and subtracted where it was positive, which made no sense. The estimate also listed six teeth at the same rate as two, and when I asked for a recalculation, I was met with a surprisingly defensive response and refused. The overall experience left me feeling misled and uncomfortable proceeding with treatment. I strongly recommend reviewing all paperwork carefully and seeking a second opinion before considering this office.
