  Dr. Mike is the best, switched over to him after my old place tried to charge me through the roof for a deep cleaning I needed. Highly recommend especially if you have kids!

  Today I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a dental office. I’ve been coming here for over a year, but after what happened today, I’m completely done. Back in February, I was told I needed some dental work, and I asked for a pre-determination to be submitted to my insurance. They said they would handle it, but no one ever followed up. When I came back in August for my six-month check-up, the doctor went over the same thing again — I told him no one had ever called me back. He apologized and said someone would reach out in about two weeks. Weeks passed, I called multiple times, and every time I got the same response: “We’ll check and call you back.” But no one ever did. Finally, in November, they called to say the procedure was covered. I also explained that my insurance has a rollover benefit, meaning I could use unused funds from previous years. The staff member said she wasn’t sure but would verify and call me back — once again, no one did. Fast forward to my appointment day: I show up expecting everything to be “COVERED”, and they hand me a $1,000+ bill prior to starting. No warning, no explanation, no communication. Yes, I was given a quote back in February — but after months of silence, insurance review, and delays, how was I supposed to know what the fees would be? Especially after I was told they heard back from the insurance and it was covered. When I told them I didn’t want to move forward because this wasn’t communicated to me. They had the audacity to charged me a $50 cancellation fee. Honestly, it felt like a bait-and-switch. The lack of transparency, communication, and professionalism is unbelievable. Instead of taking responsibility and trying to de-escalate the situation (like most professional do), they only made it worse. This office clearly has a serious problem with communication and customer service. After this experience, I have completely lost trust in them and would strongly warn others to think twice before coming here.

  First time here. I’ll start with when I walked in. The receptionist was very pleasant. Ms. Julie the nurse was amazing. I want to see her every time I come in. Dr. Mike was amazing also assured me that I was in good hands. I was definitely nervous, but they made me feel better about my situation. Would definitely recommend them.

  I’ve been bringing my son to 1st Family Dental for more than five years now and I am now also bringing my three year-old, we have always been happy with the service and the work they do. The staff is very friendly. We have also had orthodontist work done, and it was an amazing result fixed my son‘s underbite and every visit was just really great. We also really like our dentist, Mike, he is super nice really amazing at what he does and is always super friendly and gets along really well with my kids, He makes him feel really comfortable and calm, just got two fillings for a cavity on my oldest son and we were out of there in less than 20 minutes. They are just great. I’m very loyal to them and really happy with all the work they’ve done for my kids.
