I have had several therapists over the years. I have been with Sue Richards for many years. If I would have had Sue from the beginning, I would have been done by now.
Sue is the whole package. She listens to troubles, comforts my down times, and laughs with me when I need a good laugh.
Don't get me wrong. She is the essence of a professional, brilliant guide through rough waters. She isn't afraid to say she needs to do more research. She has me read and write. This is the best way for me to learn. If your style is different, I know she would adapt to whatever method is best for the patient.
This review might sound like Sue is too good to be true. She is.

I've only been seeing Sue as my therapist for a few months but the stuff I've learned and the progress I've made concerning the death of my daughter has been amazing. I think it was God's gift that I found her for my therapist. Thank you Sue!

I brought my child one time, the provider was good and I was very pleased with our conversation; however, the disorganized office operations, disjointed onboarding with no communication, and argumentative front desk staff are the reasons I will no longer bring my child to this office.
Suggestions on improvement: I would encourage this office to improve their intake form process either mailed out, or have a link to a digital option online several days prior to first appointment. Anyone who has been around mental health knows the forms and paperwork take longer than a waiting room visit to complete. If that option is not feasible, then communicate to the client that the first appointment is going to take X amount of time and build it in the schedule - that will solve the issue of Arguing with a client based on an assumption the client was told something they weren’t. At the very least, get the necessary paperwork signed before getting called back- then have more time during the visit to try and complete forms.
Additionally - have the common sense to maintain professionalism and not raise your voice and start to argue with client (in front of their child) when they stated they (Client) had requested guidance days prior to understand what information is needed ahead of the initial appointment so they can be prepared… and your staff say they didn’t.
Sure maybe someone had an off day and forgot to give clear directions , it happens - I get it. But it’s not always what you say, it’s how you say it.
Another even more important suggestion... when you take vitals, height and weight out in the open in proximity with other clients before seeing the provider (which is typical and expected for any health care clinic),but DO NOT ask specific personal questions related to the visit out in the open - someone seeking mental health support is a deeply personal experience… that is common sense.
The only reason I feel compelled to share this review is to advocate to do better for others seeking help because it’s hard enough finding providers for mental health - and when you find a good one that fits, but the experience is ruined by office operations and support staff, that’s when parents and patients continue to lose hope.
