- JYJennifer YenchaDec 15, 20251.0Horrible policy! I signed up for month to month membership as I am a travel nurse and was only going to be in Hilo for 2 months. They charged me an anual fee and will not refund me even though I was not made aware talking to the sales associates multiple times (at sign up and cancellation). Also they have a 21 days prior cancellation fee (which I was only made aware of at cancellation) I was late on but was aware I would pay for an extra month I would not be attending the gym NOT THE YEARLY FEE. I did like this gym but very disappointed how the manager and sales associate handled this and for the lack of information given and not making it right. Please be informed before signing if you are a contracted worker. Also they will say that it is in the signed contract but the information was NEVER verbally mentioned. I feel scammed.

They still charged me after and said they had no notes in the system of me canceling. Sounds like they need to train their representatives on how to process cancelations. They said to call back for a manager for a refund and I could never reach one no matter how many times I called. Absolutely ridiculous and a scam if you ask me! I'd take your business elsewhere. After reading reviews, im clearly not the only one with the same problem!
- JIJennifer IlletschkoNov 14, 20251.0The coaches are awesome. It's hard to use the gym equipment at most times they're open It's overcrowded. Many people sit on their phones while sitting at the equipment. I used 3 different equipment with 4-5 reps in the time it took them to do 1-2 reps on one piece. I would ask them if they were finished but they stayed there on their phones. Another issue that I had is that the coaches can record you, the minute you walk into the gym. There are no exceptions. I do not want to be recorded while working out. Taking a pic after the class is one thing but during my workout; that's a hard pass. It's in your contracts!! When I asked to cancel, they said I'd be charged another month so I can keep using it. Why would I want to use the gym when you refuse to stop recording me during my workouts? Apparently your gym needs the $80 more than I do. Keep it. They care more about recording than keeping a client. I received my Cancellation request which was electronically filled out by the UFC staff and then emailed to me. My last payment is 11/21/2025 but as of 01/21/2025, I can no longer use the gym. So why am I paying for the gym if I can't even use it? I emailed the owner about the notice. Guess who hasn't emailed me back! Update: So important that your gym doesn't respond back to emails or try to reach out to me to make it right?!? Doesn't seem that important. Goes down a star for that.
