Today I waited in the exam room to see Dr. Gonzalez for one hour. When he did walk in, he did not speak, let alone apologize for his lateness.
He has the worst bedside manners of anyone I know. I yet have to learn how I became his patient.
He need to take lessons from his receptionist.
I wonder does he bother to read the reviews concerning his mannerisms.

Between the Dr speaking TO me condescendingly, which I formally decided to let slide, and the office staff not returning my SEVERAL calls to reschedule an appointment THEN subsequently charging me a cancellation fee, which ultimately was reversed by billing so I, AGAIN, let slide, to the dismissiveness and cold behavior I feel when I ask to be NOTIFIED WHEN THE DEVICE IS ABOUT TO BE MOVED FROM BENEATH MY CHIN, RATHER THAN MOVING IT, WITHOUT WARNING AS IT WAS TODAY, SO ABRUPTLY, CAUSING IMMEDIATE INFLAMMATION AND PAIN THAT IS, AT 3:34AM KEEPING ME FROM SLEEPING AND WILL TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO RELIEVE DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE A ROD IN MY NECK!!! This, I can't let slide. Y'all can be as unprofessional as you want, disorganized as you want, rude, and whatever anybody else claims, but what you need to be at ALL TIMES is considerate of your DISABLED PATIENTS' PREEXISTING CONDITIONS AND DEBILITATING FACTORS.

As a new patient I expected more than a sheet with my name and address on it. No requests for medical conditions no request for medicine, just insurance info and emergency contact. I had to ask for a clipboard bc none was provided. The wait time was not bad. When the tech took me back, she then asked abt medical conditions and asked if I had brought my list of medicines. I said I had not been asked to so she contacted my pharmacy while I sat and waited. The tech was not particularly friendly, which I noticed throughout the whole practice. While doing my exam she asked me to hold a cone shaped thing up yo my eye, which I did, and then she basically turned on a flashlight and put it up to my eye. I am extremely sensitive to light, and she gave no warning at all before she did it. I had a good 3-4 minutes before I could even read the letters in the box on the wall. She did warn me abt the puff of air ahead of time. I found Dr Alvarado standoffish and impersonal. When he told me I had the beginnings of cataracts and then offered no info abt them I said, "Well, I guess I'll have to look that up on the internet he said nothing, and offered no brochures abt cataracts. When I checked out I was asked if I was going to their optical dept, I said no and left. When I was halfway home I realized I hadn't gotten my prescription for new glasses. I called back and she said " Didn't I ask if you were going to optical ?" My reply was "you didn't tell me I had to go through your optics shop to get my prescription". So now I have to drive back to get my prescription. I really don't recommend this place at all
