  My daughter has been seen at this office for around 5 years now. Overall, the care is fine. Dr. Williams and NP Youngblood have been great. I had to call back myself to obtain a referral that was supposed to be shared/initiated by them, but that didn't happen. However, I understand, things happen. My issue today and another incident has been with the front office staff. Today, I attempted to schedule an annual appointment for my daughter, only to be told that her visit would not be covered. This was very odd as this is slated under preventative care. The Scheduling person informed me their system had my insurance listed as Anthem, I am with BCBCTx and have been for at least 3 years now. I informed her of the actual name, and all she did was repeat again what her system showed. When I asked if they could call my insurance carrier, she immediately informed me they "don't call insurance companies" ... Umm, ok, why not. She was curt, not very helpful, and now I'm on hold with my insurance provider. I think it's time for a new facility. This sucks b/c Williams/Youngblood are great medical professionals.

  We have been taking our kids here their whole lives. Overall, the care has been average with no major complaints, but we have had some frustrations over the years. When my son was younger, I repeatedly voiced concerns about his congestion and speech, but nothing was detected or addressed until I independently pursued speech therapy. The therapist quickly noticed likely enlarged adenoids, which the practice then confirmed once I brought it back up. Only then did we get a referral to an ENT, and after his procedure his breathing and speech improved dramatically. I would have hoped for earlier advocacy and education from the practice. Similarly, when I raised concerns about possible ADHD for another child, we were referred to a therapy center that confirmed when scheduling that they were not equipped to conduct formal evaluations. We eventually had to source our own provider for a proper assessment. More recently, during wellness visits (we usually book all three kids at the same time), I arrived late for the first appointment but still on time for the second. In the past, the staff had appreciated our efficiency with back-to-back visits, but this time they refused to see the third child and the tone was unnecessarily sharp, leaving my youngest sitting with me while the older two were seen together. In short, this practice is fine if your child has no complications. But as a parent, you may need to do extra research, seek second opinions, and advocate for your child more than you’d expect. The staff is not the warmest, and while they are capable with routine care, I wouldn’t call them proactive.

  Great pediatrician. I have been taking my son here for some years and Dr. youngblood is an excellent doctor.

  Dr. Williams, Dr. Youngblood and Ms. Clark are amazing. The staff there are wonderful. My kids have been coming to Kids First since newborns. My kids are now 29, 22, 22, 15 and baby girl 11. Great customer service. They are passionate about their patients. We are family.
