- 111qcangeNov 17, 20252.0While the registration process was efficient, my interaction with Nurse Jamial, RN, was unsatisfactory. I found him to be confrontational when I declined to be weighed. I communicated my reasons for this refusal, citing a history of anorexia and associated mental trauma. He exhibited a lack of empathy and understanding, stating that my forms could not be finalized without a weight measurement and insisting on me to weigh. I maintained my refusal. Subsequently, he moved away from the weighing area, walked down the hallway, and then gestured for me to follow. This behavior caused me irritation and a feeling of disrespect. I remained silent, and as a result, my blood pressure was elevated, which is not typical for me. After calming myself in the exam room, my blood pressure returned to normal when rechecked by the physician. Nurse Jamial's lack of empathy, compassion, and unprofessional conduct was disappointing and resulted in a negative experience for me. I am a RN/FNP and was disappointed in his character and I left feeling devalued.
