I am very disappointed with the lack of communication regarding my orthodontic insurance coverage. At the beginning of the year, when my insurance changed, I proactively contacted the office to confirm that my orthodontic treatment would still be covered. I was told I would be notified if anything changed. Unfortunately, I did not receive any communication until October 2025—nearly ten months later—when the office manager informed me that my new insurance does not cover orthodontic treatment. By that point, I had lost the opportunity to explore alternative insurance options or make adjustments to avoid this situation. As a result, I am now expected to pay an additional nine months of fees out of pocket, which could have been avoided with timely communication. I expressed my frustration at that time, and the manager stated she would speak with her supervisor. However, as of December 2025, I have not received any follow-up or resolution from anyone at the office. While I value the quality of care I’ve received, this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Clear and timely communication is essential, especially when it comes to insurance and financial responsibility. I hope this issue is addressed and that future patients do not experience the same situation. UPDATE (January 2026): After filing a formal complaint at the end of December 2025, I finally received a call from the office manager in January 2026. During that call, I was told that the Vice President of Braces Braces wanted to cancel the original payment arrangement that had been made with me and instead double my monthly payment. When I asked for the VP’s name, I was told it could not be provided. I then asked for her supervisor’s name and contact information, and that was also refused. Even more concerning, on January 6, 2026, I discovered that no insurance claim had ever been filed on my behalf—despite months of being told my insurance did not cover orthodontic treatment. I in fact had valid insurance coverage the entire time.

This McDonough off is perfect!!! Let me list the perfect experiences. 1. My daughter came in for an exam but they offered same day services. She got braces in 45 minutes and we were not pressured to spend the money. 2. The Dr. is very polite and makes you feel comfortable again no pressure to rush into braces. 3. Prior to coming back for her second retightening. She started to express her emotions in her body( FND -seizure like motion without brain damage). The front desk, the doctor, Amber and Savannah made sure we were comfortable and ok. I will never recommend a different office. Thanks guys

I don't like that my braces are paid for in full and they don't have any appointments available to get an adjustment. The rep said to call back 2 months from now in January. I can not wait to be done with this place.

The whole entire office staff from the front desk , the coordinator , and Savanna that put the braces on were ALL AMAZING and patience with my little one definitely will recommend. They even set up the kids for success with an Oral B toothbrush and kit to take to school.

Quoted me over $8,000 for braces due to my bottom row of teeth shifting VERY slightly due to losing my retainer and not being able to get a replacement at that time. Went to another orthodontist and was quoted 50% less than what they were charging me AND they are clear aligners + my insurance was accepted as well. The technician was very friendly and that is why I’m leaving one star. They never have to worry about me being a patient with this orthodontic practice. Price gouging and extortion at its finest.
