    Got to experience my first virtual exam this weekend! I was skeptical at first but the technician, I think her name was Lordom, walked me through the process and how everything would go with the doctor being remote and not in the store. While I waited to be seen I was able to talk to DaBrina the optician about what my options were bc I wasn't using any insurance and I wasn't trying to spend a ton on glasses. She told me about the current promotions they were running. Once I was done with my exam she helped me shop for frames that were more in my price range. We talked about my prescription and lens option and what would work best for what I needed. Overall my experience was great the ladies really took their time with me I didn't feel rushed or like I was bothering them even though I asked a MILLION questions the ladies were super patient with me and I'll definitely be back! I've been wearing glasses since I was a child and have been to plenty of optical shops and this was the first time I felt like the staff not only were knowledgeable but actual enjoyed what they were doing and customer service these days goes a long way!! I told my coworker about this place and she's already scheduled an appointment for herself! Thanks ladies for making this new experience an easy one

    The store was nice and clean, the frames I got were nice and affordable, but the service with the optician was horrible. I will not be coming back here again. I was helped by Debrena and she was unprofessional, unattentive, and smelled like the strongest strain of Marijuana that my poor nose has ever smelled in my entire life. She had to be higher than a plane during my visit because it smelled like she just smoked a bong before I walked in. I don't judge if that's what you do in your free time but it's very unprofessional and unsettling to get medical services from someone under the influence of a controlled substance.

    Let me edit and add more details here as it's the next day and I have been able to reflect on this a little more. Also, I did call the Stanton Optical customer service number to file the complaint with all of these new details, but have not gotten a 2nd call back yet (as promised). and address it. But the person I spoke with in the complaints department seemed very nice and they sounded like they wanted to help. Situation: After driving across town in traffic 30 minutes at least), I was not treated very well and they wasted my time and I had to go back a second time because the prescription was too strong and giving me a headache and actually made me nauseous, which I told Ari over the phone and said I would be driving across town and told her about the long commute. When I got there the 2nd time, they had me take the whole exam again with her who is not a Dr. which seemed odd because it states plain as day on the website that there are no doctors on site and remembered from the first exam that they videoed in a web doctor who was remote. This time however the two untrained women decided my vision had changed in just two days and made it even stronger and REFUSED to change it back, citing some story about no doctor being present and that's why they couldn't lower it. So how can you change it to raise it but not lower it? Also, do you as the employee have such little respect for the doctor’s diagnoses that you feel free to change it? And furthermore, why was a nondoctor even doing my 2nd exam in the first place? Oh by the way I am NOT diabetic, which was the store manager's excuse for the results varying that quickly. But again I am not. So net net I spent about 6 hours, (30 minutes there and back two times plus two hours each time in the store to exam and wait for the lens to be cut). But I suppose store employees can do whatever they want and cover it with bogus explanations while they seem like they're being polite. No thank you, I did get a refund finally after they refused to even change it back, and the store manager (she never told me her name) first told me I had to wait for them to clear it with the district manager, and which they already had my new glasses, so really there was no excuse, but then she reluctantly offered to give me the refund. But refused to let me even take a photo or write down the prescription, and came up with another official sounding reason why not. But she was rather rude to me at first the first time, but then she and Ari disappeared for a little while and when she returned to the empty showroom, she (the manager) was acting nicer. So I'm guessing Ari said that I had been very nice and polite and for her to cool it. But it's bad form to leave a customer completely alone in the store while shopping. I mean, there was no one for a while. Just me.

    From start to finish, the entire team at Staton Optical delivered an exceptional experience for me and my family. The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we understood our options, felt comfortable, and received exactly what we needed. I can’t recall every name, but I truly want to highlight Debrina, Dee, and Jamal for standing out with their kindness and top-tier service. Their patience, attention to detail, and uplifting energy made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Even the team members whose names I may have missed played a huge part in making our visit exceptional. From the eye exam to selecting frames and discussing lens options, everything was seamless. The whole team worked together effortlessly — answering every question, offering honest recommendations, and treating us like family, not just customers. In a time when great customer service is rare, Staton Optical exceeded every expectation. We left feeling confident, supported, and extremely satisfied with our experience.
