Visit the Planned Parenthood health center in Marietta, GA for emergency contraception (morning after pill), abortion, pregnancy testing, STD treatment, birth control, and sexual and reproductive health care.
I went in for an exam to check out a swollen, painful ingrown on my vaginal area. After I arrived, front desk verified I still wanted to go through with the appointment. I did.
RN and Dr. Chloe had great beside manner.
They asked me several times during appointment if I had any questions or concerns. I was offered an STD test several times during the appointment but declined as the bump did not appear to be caused by an STD.
Office was clean and tidy. They make the process as confidential as possible while in the reception area. [Calling you by your initials and having you write the reason for your appointment on a post it note].

READ BEFORE BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT:
Booked an appointment with the call center over a month ago. Went into detail what the appointment was needed for and scheduled accordingly. I get there and red flags as soon as I pressed the buzzer, the attitude was strong. Like I was an inconvenience of being there. I’m in the rain explaining I have a booked appointment. After a good minute of standing there, they finally unlocked the door just to have an attitude and loudly asking why I was there. As if that’s even the front staffs business to be discussing with me in the lobby. Like it’s not in their system.
I Drove 30 minutes just to be informed the provider was refusing to see me. Not only was I denied to be seen so was the patient ahead of me. (Another red flag) no one thought to call me beforehand to inform me of this, nothing. When I was obviously very confused why i was being refused to be seen I was told “provider doesn’t feel comfortable due to me being a new patient” ??? I’m sorry what? That makes 0 sense. This is planned parenthood not a regular obgyn to begin with. The whole point of planned parenthood is to assist the community especially those who have low income. Trust me you all weren’t the first or even the second option.
I waited a month to be seen and no one thought to call me to inform me not to waste my time, gas or take off work. When I became upset the office staff told me it was out of their hands. I called the call center and informed them of what happened and they could have cared less as well. All they offered was referrals to go somewhere else. Not one apology.
I’m not sure what in the world is going on with planned parenthood, but this is absolutely unacceptable on so many levels. I wish I would have gotten the providers name and reported them. Do not become a physician if you’re going to refuse to help people that’s literally your only job. The office staff, the provider and call center all need to do better or find a different field all together. The front desk was gossiping and being incredibly unprofessional. The whole experience was horrible from the beginning to the end. Go literally anywhere but this location if you can.
