- RRRyanAug 27, 20255.0In about 2016, I came here to get a new retainer since my retainer from another orthodontist broke. They were on time and nice. I came again in 2025 to see if they could do anything to increase the size of my mouth to help with sleep apnea. When I called to make the appointment they said that they had not heard of adults having their palate expanded, but I could come in for a free appointment. I came in for my appointment 5 minutes late, but they took me within 1 minute regardless. They took me back to a consult room where I spoke with a dental assistant that told me that it was unlikely they would be able to help, but would let me speak to the orthodontist to be sure. They x-rayed my mouth and took pictures as part of the free consult. When I got to see the orthodontist he took his time and explained that that is not in his area of expertise, but the research had shown that orthodontia is not likely to help full grown adults with sleep apnea. Therefore, he did not recommend treatment, but he gave me the number of other providers (surgeons) that may be able to help. He took his time and answered all my questions even though he knew he wouldn't be able to provide orthodontia to me which I really appreciate. Disclaimer: The only service I paid for was a new retainer 9 years ago.
