I tried to verify that my insurance was in network before scheduling and was told they would confirm this between 24-48 hrs before the appointment. I pushed back on this, because the policy required I cancel 24 hours before the appointment. The receptionist transfered me to another department. They didn't answer the phone. I left a voicemail and never heard back. I didn't want to go through the motions of filling out new patient paperwork without knowing if my insurance was in network, but did so anyway. 24 hr before the appointment I still had not heard anything, so I called back. The receptionist didn't have an answer for me and sent another message to the insurance department. I was told the cancellation fee would be waived if I needed to cancel.
At 4 pm the day before my 930 am appointment I called back to cancel, not wanting to show up to find my insurance is out of network. The receptionist said it was in-network (Why did no one notify me???). The dentist had a poor bedside manner and they refused to give me a regular cleaning, saying I needed an intensive cleaning not covered by insurance.
LATER I RECEIVED A LARGE BILL BECAUSE THE INSURANCE WAS OUT OF NETWORK. I have spoken to them several times since and they tried to gaslight me, saying that they ARE in network which BCBS denies. Then they tried to pin the blame on the insurance, saying it was their repsonsiblity to let them know they were OON. Terrible customer service and complete incompetence. The patient comes last at this practice...

Don’t be fooled by the number of high ratings (probably fake) - only come here if you prefer to feel like a revenue opportunity, not a patient.
This practice is clearly production-driven, not patient-focused. First of all, you can’t even get a cleaning the same day as your new patient appointment - both of which have average 6 month lead times. Bizarre, and never something I have experienced at other dental offices. Likely because they want to upsell you on longer treatments that they cannot block out time for the same day as the new patient appointment and risk you declining those services. After my new patient consultation (which they force you to get full mouth x rays despite knowing many insurances have a limit to amount they cover), I was pushed into a more aggressive level of cleaning and multiple elective, out-of-pocket add-ons, with little explanation of what was optional versus medically necessary. Good thing I did the research myself.
Also, should note the X-rays were extremely uncomfortable and seemed to be performed by a tech with little experience. When I finally did receive the cleaning (2nd visit), it was uncomfortable, rushed, and robotic, with zero bedside manner - hygienist was not polite, did not explain the steps or expectations along the way, and biggest red flag was that there was no discussion of my at-home routine or recommendations for my long-term oral health, just a focus on their short-term, billable procedures. $$$.
Any insurance questions/comments, which are valid concerns in the industry, were brushed off with an attitude of no accountability “we don’t go by insurance/don’t know/can’t control what they pay,” which feels like a cop-out when your literal business model is to provide patients with services that most of the time are being paid for via some form of insurance.
Also worth noting that the dentist listed on the website is not the dentist you actually see, which felt misleading after choosing this practice based on dentist’s in-network status and credentials. And speaking of the dentist, after reviewing my X-Rays congratulated me on never having a cavity, which was wrong - I’ve had two fillings.. either sloppy or no attention to detail or not great at reading X-Rays or asking patient history.
Lastly, since I won’t be returning to this practice, I requested a copy of my X-Rays (which I paid for and are of my mouth…) and was not given usable copies, only a bird’s-eye screenshot of all the teeth that another dentist couldn’t reasonably use.
It’s a shame because the office is in a convenient location, but I’d rather drive elsewhere in Atlanta traffic at rush hour than give this office my business and trust them with my oral care, and recommend you do the same.

Hi. While at first I enjoyed the dentist office and appreciated the nice staff and ambiance, I have for over one year been fighting an incorrect billing issue (that they have admitted was a mistake but cannot seem to correct in their system). Over 50% of my visits have resulted in incorrect charge that I have to try very hard to correct and at some point of time I realize it is just not worth it for me. It feels unfortunate that what seems to be a nice practice has such poor billing and customer processes. I really never leave reviews and you may have a different experience, but sharing mine. Good luck out there!

Last week I came in for a routine cleaning and let the office know ahead of time that my crown had popped off and I needed it re-sealed. Madison did not originally place the crown on, but that's not the issue. When I arrived, they took X-rays of the area. After the dentist briefly looked at the tooth, they quoted me $167 to re-cement the crown. I chose to cancel the service along with the cleaning and return the following week, but I later cancelled that appointment as well because $167 to apply some cement and tap an UV light a few times is crazy!
I just received a $110 bill from that appointment even though NO treatment was done. When I called for clarification, I was told the charge was simply “to see the dentist". I just spoke to my insurance and was told that I do not have to pay for "office visits" as noted in my EOB.
This also wasn’t the first issue. Although this practice did not do my veneers, one of them popped off previously and I paid to have it re-sealed — only to receive another surprise bill afterward. And what makes this even more frustrating is that they charged me less to re-seal my veneer, yet now quoted $167 just to re-cement a crown. Their pricing is inconsistent and hard to justify.
I won’t be returning to this dentist and cannot recommend this office due to their poor communication and questionable billing practices.
