This center is an urgent care that closes at 6 pm but they don’t have an X-ray tech for their entire operating hours. I had to go back the next day to get X-rays. When I was initially seen by the doctor, he looked at my hands and asked if the pain was in various areas as he touched the areas. I consistently and repeatedly told him that the pain was not in my joints. The doctor asked me “Is this your job?” I said yes. He asked, “did they explain to you what you’d be doing?” I said yes. He told me that since there is “no precipitating incident at work” that my issues could not be considered work related”. The doctor said he suspected arthritis. I asked if he found arthritis does that mean that there is nothing else going on with my hands. He wouldn’t answer that question. I asked some questions about his opinion on my prognosis which he declined to answer stating that he needed to get X-rays to confirm his suspicions. He also told me that whatever is going on with me is chronic and not work related and that I needed to see my primary doctor. He also made it clear that he represents my company, and is not there for me. (Pretty close to a direct quote) When I came back the second day for X-rays, the doctor looked the films and barely saw signs of arthritis in the first joints of my index fingers which was not at all part of my complaint. He said to confirm his theory he’d be sending the films to a specialist. I had a follow up appointment a week later and the doctor said the specialist did not comment on his theory only said I have no fractures or dislocation (which I knew). The doctor then told me he was just going to stand on his decision and call it arthritis. I asked questions about other possibilities and the doctor reaffirmed his position on me seeing my primary doctor. He was never open to explore why I am experiencing what I’m experiencing. He was totally dismissive from the start through release. I will never choose this place again even if just to get a physical as this doctor is the center director. Up front however Ebony acts like she truly loves her job. She was pleasant and professional. The X-ray tech Chantrell had me laughing the entire time we interacted. These ladies saved my experience from being a total flop.

From the moment I walked in the clinic I was greeted with a warm good morning and the receptionist guided me thru the steps to check in and over all the visit went well.
