- CMCraig MilneAug 16, 20251.0I generally am in the gallon a year donation range, but after today's treatment I think I'm done with that. Today I was 15 minutes late to my appointment time of 1:30 pm. The girl behind the desk told me they close at 2 pm, but she would squeeze me in. A black male whose name I believe was Andre, came from the back of the business and asked if I had an appt., I told him "yes", but I had run a few minutes late. He just looked at me and then at the girl behind the counter and walked away. After filling out the paperwork and the computer. The girl called him to the front. He walked back up front and glared at the girl. As he was looking at her he pointed to his watch. After seeing him do this, I asked him if he wanted me to leave. He stated "we close at 2pm and an appointment takes approximately 30 minutes. I told him if he didn't want me there I would leave. He just soon there staying at me. I am baffled, does your organization not pay their employees for their time, or is it your employees don't get any sort of customer care training. Your board at the facility indicates there is a shortage of blood, however your employees don't seem to care about that.

Maria the tech that took care of me was very kind and friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. I will continue to be a donor, especially at this location that is clean and so very nice and helpful. Great job!

Today I went back to the North Dale Mabry donation center. Marissa checked my heart rate right away and I was eligible to donate. She was so kind, and cheerful. We laughed through the whole process! Chalk one up for another donation of O negative!
