- AOAna OteroDec 12, 20251.0This place is a scam. I called to make an appointment and got one the same day for 3:30 Pm. When I get there I signed in and did the exam as normal. The lady asked me if I was getting glasses before doing and I said yes. Mind you i booked an eye exam, nothing more. The eye exam was divided into two parts or so I thought so after the first part was done I went to look at the glasses. After looking at the glasses for a while, I couldn’t find any of that I liked, and then they took me to do the second part and brought me back out. When i get done with the exam some guy named Andre takes me to look at glasses and starts handing me the most expensive ones. He starts giving me fake compliments just to try to sell me the most expensive glasses. after he shows me a couple of glasses and some frames that I clearly told him I didn’t like. He showed me a frame that I did like, and I thought I would take it, but after looking at myself in the mirror with it for a while I didn’t like it so I told him that I wasn’t gonna take it. He proceeded to get angry at me and caught an attitude with me. Afterwards, he told me that the price would be 150 when I called on the phone they told me the price for the exam would be 78. I asked him why it was so high and he said that it was because I didn’t get any glasses. I then told him that made no sense that it went from 78 to 150 just because I didn’t get glasses when I called on the phone and they said it was 78. He then called the lady that did my eye exam and they both started to have this rehearsed conversation about how I should’ve gotten glasses and that would’ve given me the eye exam for free and it wouldn’t be so expensive. I then told both of them that it doesn’t make sense that it’s 150 just for me not getting glasses. Andre proceeded to try to hush me and talk to his coworker who did my eye exam and she then let us know that it was because she had done an extra part in my eye exam that I wasn’t even aware of and they were trying to charge me for it just because she thought I was getting glasses and if I would’ve gotten glasses that part of the eye exam would’ve been free. I told her that that’s not what I scheduled. I simply scheduled for an eye exam and that I was not gonna be paying for something that I didn’t ask to get and didn’t even know I was having done. Andre trying to get out of the situation just discounted the second test that I didn’t know about and then they charged me at the front. It was completely unnecessary. I just went to get an eye exam. In the end, I was only charged the $78 plus tax for the eye exam, but it was an uncomfortable situation and I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me to get me to pay more money. I will not be returning to this establishment.
