  Always fantastic, friendly, professional people. The center is clean and often decorated for the seasons. Number one in OneBlood centers (as far as I know!)

  I have been using the 9 mile donation site for years and have always had a positive experience. Everyone has been courteous and professional, knowledgeable and skilled. I highly recommend them. Except for Friday I had an interaction with a rude older mad scientist looking character, he looked dirty and ungroomed and complained about how my doctors office thought they were smarter than them and they didn’t even put my name or a date on my photo copy script, which was true. However my doctor is not the client, I am and don’t want to hear unprofessional rants and his negative comments about other healthcare professionals. I had been there several days before and could not give blood because my prescription had expired. I now had a new prescription that I needed to add my name and date to but was not given the opportunity. So my blood was not drawn. I have to give blood regularly as I have high iron and it makes you lethargic and is dangerous unchecked. I would have requested someone else draw my blood as everyone else at that facility has been excellent.

  I just gave blood at the One Blood bus located outside one of the entrances to Cordova Mall. You would think that when you walk into the bus to give blood, you would be greeted warmly. After all, this can be an intimidating thing for many people, and you are also providing a huge service to the community. But instead, there’s no warm welcome, or even a greeting of any kind at all. At least not on this day. It’s just sit there, fill this out, go in that room. I interacted with two other staff people after the first one, and they were a bit more friendly and normal. But again, for something as potentially intimidating as giving blood can be for a lot of people, and the huge need we have for people to be willing to give blood, these people should be smiling and greeting people warmly and thanking them profusely. But that’s not what happens. At least not on this day. It all seemed very clinical, and even transactional. My visits to my doctor’s office are more friendly than this. And it does make me question whether I want to come back again anytime soon. Putting the right people upfront, who are smiling and friendly and gracious to those come in, would make all the difference in helping to improve the experience and make more people want to give blood.

  Love the tshirts but only go to xl which don’t fit if you made xxl in shirts I’m sure there would be more donors as a lot xl don’t fit everyone little disappointing we donate but can’t wear it 😩 that’s point to let everyone know we donate!
