- WWWendySep 25, 20255.0Not having had an eye exam in many years, I didn't know what to expect, so I stopped in one day to check things out. Mark answered my questions, checked my insurance & called me the next day to set an appt. I was greeted by Lucia who had me fill out a short form & then Becky, the tech, brought me into a very small room w/ the equipment used. The door can remain open if you are claustrophobic. Becky explained what she would be doing & we began. I sat in front of each of the 4 digital machines while she conducted the tests. It's a bit uncomfortable, but Becky asked me throughout if I was ok. Then I sat in a different chair where you are checked for lenses, should you need glasses. During that time, an optometrist via Telehealth online speaks to you. After this test you can discuss the results & ask questions. This is a very competent & caring staff & the store is bright & airy w/ lots of great frames to choose from. And the Pier Park location can't be beat.

I arrived at 10 to 4 and waited until 4:21pm before I walked out. If you have time to wait around all day, this is the place for you. Also their sign says most vision plans accepted, yet they only accept two. False advertising. I will not be back.
