Amazing experience & the entire staff is A+ professionally. Exceptional service with a very positive happy office. The facility is very comforting too & immaculate inside. The whole process was easy & a delight. Not what was I was expecting, but so glad I came here. I will highly recommend to colleagues & family in the future. I feel lucky to find this place.

A few months ago, a friend of mine recommended, “Dr. Richard Kaplan, M.D., D.D.S.” to me when I expressed to her how unhappy I was with our current consultation appointment that my son and I recently had with another dentist. We were days away from having the wisdom teeth removal procedure done at this office and I was full of stress and feeling extremely uneasy about bringing my son there because my experience with the dentist and his front desk/staff. The entire team was disappointing, to say the least. First off, they actually seemed quite upset that we arrived 10 minutes “early,” before our actual appointment, since they were still eating on their lunch break which made the office smell like food.
No one showed any amount of politeness and the staff was curt and cocky when explaining anything to me. Honestly, they just seemed annoyed with my questions. I felt like we were in the way and it was just the beginning of this process.
Then, when we were called back to an exam room, the actual dentist that was going to perform the procedure, appeared to not really want me there by “only” speaking directly to my son and not acknowledging me sitting right there or fully answering most of my questions. And if all this wasn’t enough, he was quite arrogant when delivering his final comment to me about how he does several of these procedures every day. His tone insinuated to me that he was done answering any more of my questions.
Now, upon my very first call to Dr. Richard Kaplan’s office, I was immediately shocked at the extreme contrast. My hope and wish was for my son to have his wisdom teeth pulled before starting his freshman year of college with ample time for him to recover. Right off the bat, I did not expect for them to be able to fit us in for a consultation on such short notice. But once the front desk manager heard our situation, she scheduled me for the very next day!!! I couldn’t believe that she actually, “heard my cry.” She genuinely took into account all of my concerns and found a way to get us in and seen by the doctor. I was completely blown away at that first consultation by everyone’s level of professionalism!!! I was already so incredibly grateful and it was only five minutes into our appointment.
Then, Dr. Richard Kaplan enters the room and everything shifted right into perfect place!!! His demeanor was calm and gentle with his lovely chair-side manner. He looked me in the eyes, thoroughly answered all of my questions, and it was at that moment that all of my worries were extinguished. All of my reservations and concerns left this building. I literally felt so relieved, especially after what I had just experienced. He covered everything and since this was going to be my son’s very first surgery, I wanted him to get through this as comfortable and easily, as possible. I knew that my son was going to be in insanely capable hands with Dr. Kaplan!!!
And, of course, Dr. Kaplan checked in on my son after the surgery to make sure he was alright, which he healed just beautifully!!! I'm grateful beyond words for our stellar experience with Dr. Richard Kaplan and his attentive and incredible staff!!! I’ve already told all of my friends to go see Dr. Kaplan if they want their children to have a wonderful experience!!!
Gratefully,

I put off a wisdom tooth extraction for 15 years (I don't recommend that). Over that time it got infected / inflamed numerous times. I am originally from Florida but have lived in a number of different states and have seen highly recommended oral surgeons in all of them to potentially take my wisdom tooth out. Then, I met Dr. Kaplan. I also had a panic attack in his office during a consult. He took such good care of me, was so compassionate, had half his staff blowing cold air on me and other things as he checked on me between patients and ensured someone drive me home. I put off the extraction probably another year, but I knew in my heart he would be the one. Well, last week on short notice it was time to get the wisdom tooth out. The whole office remembered how hard it was for me, so I believe they did everything they could to see me ASAP. He remembered everything about my consult over a year ago, stated he wanted to do it under general for informed reasons. I am pretty sure he made some phone calls to get me into the hospital outside of his regular schedule, to the details of even making sure it was one of the first surgeries so I wasn't worrying and I could just get it behind me. On this very day last week I was in the OR, and today I find myself on my first jog post-op, tearing with gratitude. I just fell asleep and woke up, clean and easy, and one wisdom tooth gone. Doctors and surgeons are amazing people, and I have been blessed to meet what I call "angel" doctors/surgeons in my life. Dr. Kaplan is exactly that. I had a post-op appointment yesterday and probably gave each of them 5 hugs. Dr. Kaplan, you are a gift to the community. I would tell anyone to travel across the world to have you be their surgeon. Thank you for your delicacy, your compassion--and definitely your talent! I am 100% sure you pulled strings to get me in when you did, to make things easier for me, which made a massive difference. Note to all: I included a picture today, exactly 1 week from surgery, after my jog. I am not one to share photos of myself but I thought it would help humanize the experience. I'm smiling and there's no swelling :D (the side of my face pictured is the side of the surgery)!!!!!
