Kendra was very welcoming. I completed 2 forms, and a wonderful tech prepared me for my appointment. Dr. Amy was very thorough and empathetic. The eye exam was completed and information was provided regarding the suggested changes needed to maximize my vision. It was the best eye exam I have had for years. I would certainly recommend their services to all my friends, and family!

I absolutely loved the eye doctor. She was able to look into the back of the eyes during the exam. We haven't had that done before at Target Optical with a typical eye exam. She was very thorough and explained everything in detail. Both my husband and I had eye exams today. The issue I had was out front with the "sales guys". I was absolutely shocked at how horrible I was treated at this establishment by one of the men. The employee Ben gave my husband the price for my husband's glasses. It was close to $500 and everything was group into two expenses. Ben commented how good our eye insurance was. When I got to the location and asked Ben to give me an itemized sheet that broke down the pricing for the different add ons, that is when the situation turned ugly. Ben refused to give me a breakdown of costs. He kept saying it was just the cost of the lenses. Yet the price was close to $200. Our copay is $10 for lenses. I fully understand our insurance and how it works with progressive lenses and photo chromatic lenses ( transitions). When I asked a question Ben was vague, attempted to confuse me and wasn't truthful in his answers. I stood my ground and calmly tried to communicate with him. I understand pricing so that wasn't working. He got frustrated that he couldn't confuse me. I asked to speak to the manager. Ben said he is on vacation in Aruba. Ben said he was done. He said this is my last day. Mind you he continued to refuse to give me a breakdown of what the pricing was for each add on. The only pricing was for lenses and for frames. He then got up and left. Literally got up and left the optical area and did not return. It all boiled down to the fact that he didn't want to deal with an educated woman who wanted answers. Another employee Alex, took over. He printed out a sheet that had the breakdowns. We went over the costs and I showed him the descrepancies between what we showed from our insurance to their pricing. He showed me their math. It's an odd way to math and it's not correct. I then had to go in for my exam. Apparently my husband was done with all of this. He changed part of his order from the premium Oakley lenses to the Target lenses. Designers/ brand names put that extra upcharge on when they slap their name on something. Their system then wouldn't accept our HSA card. Oddly enough the copay for the exam didn't have any issues with our HSA card and neither did my copay for my exam. When I came out from my exam Alex helped me get fitted for my glasses. My glasses were $108 and there wasn't an issue with our HSA card when I paid with it for my glasses. I will sort this out next week with the District Manager. Alex finally coughed up a first name for a DM. I will get the contact info from a manager at another location. I stopped in to speak to the Target MOD and convey what occurred so Target could make an incident report. Even though I do know the Optical Center is contracted out to another entity......What should have taken am hour turned into a 3 hour ordeal.

Both the technician and the optometrist are extremely helpful. They are patient and answered all our questions. The photos on the retina was useful in identifying a condition on my right eye. They gave me a referral to see a specialist.
