Dr Lam gave me a completely different diagnosis than multiple other doctors that I’d seen for 8+ years (perhaps Target Optical is not set up to deal with astigmatisms?). The contacts she prescribed for me did not correct my vision. On top of that, while her assistant was helping me pick out glasses, he took a phone call, forgot to add something to the bill and called me days later telling me to come back and pay in person if I wanted a receipt, which I needed for insurance purposes. It was quite frustrating to receive this type of care from Target Optical. I cannot recommend them to others.

When I specifically requested mono vision contact lenses, she decided to order a pair of monovision lenses and a pair of multifocal lenses so that I could compare each type. I did not ask her to do that, she just did it. My wife, who was also being evaluated and fitted for contact lenses had to receive training on how to insert the lenses into her eye. The technician patiently spent over 30 minutes coaching my wife and cheering for her as she got closer and closer to a successful insertion. These small acts of kindness resulted in a great visit.
