- MKMiguel KaledOct 9, 20255.0Back in January 2025 I was affected by an infection called Toxic Shock Syndrome - TSS. This syndrome developed inside me a "flash eating bacteria". Very scary! The immediate consequence was a deterioration of my left arm and left foot. My left arm condition improved fast, lucky me! But the left foot did not have the same recovery. Dr. Alexandra Heidtmann from CENTRAL FLORIDA FOOT & ANKLE SPECIALISTS, PA was designated to operate on me. When she saw the first pictures of my foot, she heard about being prepared for an amputation! Two surgeries and eight months of weekly treatment were necessary for the wound to close, and all this time allowed us to really get to know Dr. Alex and her team: Cathy, Daphnee, Jasmine and Teresa. For all that time, every Wednesday afternoon I received not only excellent professional care, but genuine care. I really felt that Dr. Alex and her team were close to me and cheering for my full recovery. Technology and know-how are just 50% of the treatment. The other half is human determination on getting cured and that willingness to heal was fully supported by Dr. Alex. Claudia and I are extremely grateful to have met Dr. Alex and her team. The staff is always nice and very helpful/informative. I think I’ve learned more about proper shoes in the last year than I’d ever thought I’d know. I highly recommend them.

Staff was always happy, and always took care of any paperwork needed for work or the insurance company. Dr. McNamara is very straightforward with a very pleasant personality.
