After my insurance covered $4k and I paid $700 out of pocket for bone graft surgery, I called to schedule a post on appt to make sure I was healing properly and that all my stitches had dissolved. I was still picking them out a week later after being told they would all be gone in 3 days. When I called, I asked if there is a fee for a post op appointment- —yes $130. To be charged for the dr to make sure all is good after his surgery I find that an unacceptable business practice and should be included in the initial fee.

I think he is an exceptional periodontist and highly recommend his practice.
