I had a minimally invasive procedure done at this office and was told a specific total cost, which I agreed to and paid in full immediately after the procedure. However, I later received an unexpected bill from a separate lab for additional fees. This was never disclosed to me beforehand—I was told the amount I paid covered the entire procedure. It’s extremely upsetting and frustrating to deal with unexpected charges after the fact. Please be aware and make sure to ask about all potential costs, including outside lab fees, before agreeing to any procedure. When I called the office to ask about the extra charge, the receptionist was rude and told me the bill was for a biopsy, claiming the lab probably didn’t have my insurance information. However, when I contacted the lab, they confirmed they did have my insurance information and that the charge was for the biopsy itself. I called the dental office again, and this time the same representative told me the amount I paid originally was only for removing the small piece of tissue—not for the biopsy. Why wasn’t this explained to me from the beginning? The information keeps changing, and it feels like someone isn’t being honest.
