My daughter was having some nerve pain and was referred for testing. This office staff worked with us to get her in quickly after they had a cancellation. They were friendly and professional and made her feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Dr. Rob Waterson and Ciera are the best! They are very welcoming and truly want to help. My son has autism. I had no idea where to turn for help. My son has social challenges and depression. He is on meds and seeing a therapist but i felt we could be doing more. I found Dr. Waterson through a professional Neurology association. He is wonderful in his approach to my son and his knowledge of the treatment. Since starting Neurofeedback this spring my son has made some incredible progress. More than anything Dr. Waterson gave us real hope. He is open, honest, caring and supportive. Dr. Waterson is so positive and compassionate it makes this journey that much easier.

Dr. Rob Waterson is truly exceptional! Finding a practitioner like Dr. Rob in Sussex County is rare—he goes far beyond traditional care to offer a comprehensive, whole-body approach to healing and wellness. His expertise in functional neurology and clinical nutrition is unmatched, and his dedication to treating the root causes of health issues naturally through nutritional lab testing and targeted supplements is exactly what full-body care should look like. Dr. Rob is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. He takes the time to listen, explain, and tailor a plan that fits your unique needs. His integrative approach has made a real difference in our health and well-being, and I’m so grateful to have found someone who genuinely cares and is passionate about helping others heal. Dr. Rob is someone who combines cutting-edge science with compassionate care - Sussex County is lucky to have him!

I always look forward to my appointments at Synapse! Dr. Rob and his assistant, Ciera, are so kind, compassionate, and understanding. I have Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), a connective tissue disorder that results in joint instability, injury & pain. Since I began using the Hyperbaric O2 Chamber (HBOT) I’ve had less pain throughout my body and more endurance to manage daily activities…something that no oral pain relief medication has been able to help me with. I feel so comfortable under the care of Dr. Rob, who’s extremely personable and genuinely cares about my wellbeing. You won’t regret booking an appointment to see how he can support you!

Frequently Asked Questions About Synapse Brain & Spine Center

What should I expect on the first appointment?

During your initial visit, you'll have a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Waterson to discuss your symptoms. This appointment, which typically lasts about an hour, includes a QEEG brain scan, an infrared spinal scan, and a bedside orthopedic and neurological examination.

I've already gotten an MRI or a CT. Why do I need to have another brain scan done?

While MRI and CT scans are crucial for detecting serious issues like brain bleeds or tumors, a QEEG brain scan provides different, valuable information. If you're experiencing persistent symptoms despite clear MRI/CT results, the QEEG can reveal how your brain is processing information and pinpoint areas of physiological inflammation causing your symptoms.
