However, last appointment, it was disappointing to learn that I had a cavity that needs filled that was not noted previously on several past visits. This was due to the hygienist adjusting the contrast on the X-rays, to reveal it. Without, doing that, the cavity was not visible. I know my teeth do not decay quickly so this one has been there for quite a while and never noticed. So, as mentioned this is disappointing news after having assumed that the X-rays would be read correctly. The front desk person advised she would send an estimate for the work, but that has not been received. The rest of the appointment (cleaning) was perfectly fine, no issues there. Also, the day of my last appointment, it was a blizzard and the highway to the office was covered, icy and pretty unsafe to drive on especially coming back. Maybe it would be best to give patients the option to cancel on days like that?
