I went in to pick up my CRUCIAL medication as per usual, and they said that they couldn’t give it to me. Which I thought was really funny considering the tall Asian male that gave me my intial 10 of medication said that they only had “10 pills in stock right now but you can come and get the other 20 tomorrow” so obviously I take the 10 they had (because I literally need it) and then come back with my mother the next day and they’re all saying “we can’t give it to you because you already picked it up.” Yeah? I already picked up TEM. I have a 30 DAY legal prescription…. So now I’m out of meds the rest of the month and will probably have to go to the hospital… thanks to Safeway Pharmacy on Downings lack of information, communication, and letting their clients KNOW if you get this now you can’t get the rest of your meds later , even though when I was there they informed me I could. Moral of the story this pharmacy had complete and utter miscommunication within the staff and they don’t know how to let you know when something might affect you. And when your dealing with medication maybe you just shouldn’t work there then. Go anywhere but here yall they suck.

I have been going to Walgreens for the past few years due to my insurance! Yesterday, I held for over an hour only to be told that my medication hadn’t come in and they wouldn’t get it until Monday! This is something I have to take twice a day! They shorted me before Thanksgiving because they didn’t have enough to fill my prescription! I was only getting what they owed me and assured me that I could pick them up on the 19th!
I finally had to call every Walgreens but to no avail! I finally called Safeway at Downing and E Evan’s and the pharmacist answered the phone right away and yes they had my medication! He was happy to fill it! He was very helpful and friendly and I so appreciated his kindness and willingness to help me when I was so frustrated! 🎄

My husband and I have been using this pharmacy for a few years, and have to say that we've had nothing but good experiences. We receive a text when our prescriptions are ready to be picked up and the pharmacists and pharmacy techs have been nothing but friendly and professional!

I’ve been coming to this Safeway and pharmacy for years. I’ve never had anyone be as rude and unhelpful as Liz in the pharmacy department. Unsurprisingly, when I came to write the review her literal picture came up from another customer who had a very similar experience. One instance may be an off chance but multiple negative occurrences with the same woman is not. Please have her work on her customer service skills. People rarely want to be at the pharmacy and being greeted and treated poorly by staff should not be tolerated. Please do better.
