The orthodontist introduces themselves and engages in friendly conversation to help the child feel comfortable. After the examination, the orthodontist discusses their findings with the child and their parent or guardian. They explain any orthodontic issues or abnormalities they have identified, such as crowded teeth, overbites, underbites, or crossbites.
