I thought after reading some of these comments that surely this pharmacy couldn't be that bad, and sure enough the staff working were friendly and trying to do their best to assist the customers. The pharmacist on the other hand wanted nothing to do with any customer that I saw dealing with her while waiting in line. Although my medication said completed on my phone, the pharmacist had instead denied to fill it without any notification to myself or my doctor.
If you are reading this, avoid this pharmacy like the plague.

As you have been reading with recent reviews, the LOUD pharmacist lady is the rudest, most unempathetic pharmacist that i have ever met in my entire life. This is the first time I’ve ever used Safeway for a medication refill and I’ll never be returning. Denied medication On the grounds that I used King Soopers The month prior. No verification with my doctor, No telling me that my medication was denied before I drove down, Just rude denial, From a woman who clearly Hates her customers. I knew there was gonna be a problem while I was waiting in line from watching her yell at her coworkers. Safeway, You need to do a better job vetting your Pharmacists. I understand many pharmacist are overworked, I have many friends in the field. I understand many places treat their pharmacist terribly. This lady had four coworkers with her to assist her, and yet she still manages To go out of her way to deny medical care to your customer customers. Never going to a Safeway pharmacy again for the rest of my life. If you’re reading this comment, do not go to Safeway for your pharmacy needs. Brown haired Pharmacist With big bird eyes, if you are reading this do the world a favor and find another profession.

Have been using this pharmacy for a few years now. Previously never had a problem. Last 3 times I have picked up prescriptions there has been the most rude lady behind the counter. I do not remember her being there before. Not only rude but loud. As I was waiting in line I could hear her screaming at another person over the phone about their prescriptions with no discretion. As she hung up the phone, she started talking badly about the customer loudly to one of the other pharmacists. There was a line behind me of about five or six people. We all could hear it clear as day. Very unprofessional. Now it's my turn, great. I had three prescriptions to fill.Only two were ready. Before I showed up there, I had my doctor call in and make sure that the third prescription was submitted and ready to go. The loud pharmacist talked to my doctor and did not mention anything was wrong or indicated that a further step needed to be taken. The message from my doctor said yes. They got your prescription. It's ready to pick up when you are. I get there, and they're telling me it's too early. To which I respond, there was a change in dose. She follows up with well. Did you bring in your remainder of your other prescription to tradeIt in? I said, my doctor had called it in the Friday before. So it had been 6 days. The increased dosage, equaled the remainder of the prescription i told them this. All they had to do was literally count it out on their fingers. Sent me away without my prescription to which I then had to bug.My doctor who is busy doctoring. To again call or write in a change of dose. That was completely obvious as the doctor who called in the original prescription called back a few days later and increased the dosage. The pharmacy never called and said, Hey, bring in your old prescription and we'll trade it out for the new one or Hey, I see you just got this prescription and you got a prescription Increase, can we get some clarification from your doctor nothing.I go down there to pick it up.And I have to deal with a bad attitude from not only the loud one in the back. But from the other one up front. This will be the last prescription I filled through this Safeway pharmacy. Truthfully, I will probably switch to a non Safeway pharmacy.
Like my wife did after constant problems. She was dealing with from this pharmacy.

My family has already stopped grocery shopping here a while back due to rude staff and now we will be switching pharmacies as well.
At this point I am furious! People working up front at the pharmacy registers I swear act and talk like they’re high!!!
Of the 3 employees who I have dealt with 2 of them a younger guy and heavy set girl are consistently confused repeating questions multiple times then they both repeat the information back STILL WRONG!!!
The younger guy not ONLY entered the first AND last name on my prescription in their system WRONG he didn’t include the refills!
I found out today THAT IS WHY MY INSURANCE WAS NOT COVERING THE PRESCRIPTION!!!!!!!
Close is NOT CLOSE ENOUGH in the pharmaceutical industry people and this error has still NOT been resolved regardless of me correcting them EVERY SINGLE TIME I pick up! I also watched him just throw out the prescription in the trash. No shredding?!!! Is that standard practice?
Two of these three register employees constantly can’t find filled prescriptions for pickup and are constantly asking the pharmacists filling orders in the back questions that they should already have the answers too that are required for working in this position. It really shouldn’t always take 20-30 minutes just to pickup a prescription due to inadequate staff.
This is stupid. I don’t know why I haven’t already switched pharmacies other then convenience. I WILL NOT use this pharmacy again it’s not worth the aggravation anymore.
“Owner” might reply but why bother?! and NO I’m not contacting “you” ether. The review says it all. Just train staff better to run the front of the pharmacy or hire already qualified staff. IT’S THAT EASY.

I’ve been going here for a couple months now picking up usually just one medication. This time I had to pick up two, and specifically mentioned to the pharmacist/tech that this *medication name* has been canceled and my provider specifically said not to take it anymore. The pharmacist read back the medication names to me and read to me the ones I’m SUPPOSED to pick up, unfortunately the WRONG medication was placed in my bag. When I went back to talk to them about it, no accountability was done. Not even a refund, as the medication I was given and charged for was $20 which in this economy can make or break you.
I am raising awareness as there were multiple people in line yesterday and may have gotten the wrong medication as well placed in their bags. I know some people have trouble reading bottles or recognizing medications and will easily just take it, if I had not double checked I would be taking a medication that would have been toxic and placed me in the hospital. As a healthcare provider, I know there should be multiple checks done prior to dispensing a medication, and no checks were done at this location. It’s very dangerous and this needs to be addressed.
