I , too, used the pharmacy at the Safeway on Academy and Union and prescriptions were to be transferred to the Austin Bluffs location. I was hopeful, but I miss my folks at the Union and Academy location. I chose the Safeway pharmacy above Sam's and King Soopers or having to drive to the Air Force Academy for free prescriptions BECAUSE of their lower costs, their efficiency and great customer service. However, while trying to use the drive-through to pick up a prescription the other day, I pushed the button for the buzzer before I noticed the huge CLOSED sign despite the pharmacy hours for drive-through being posted.. I did not have time to park and walk in and wait in a line to get this prescription, so I called and spoke with the pharmacy representative and asked her to transfer the prescription to Sam's pharmacy. At first, The clerk said "we're open you can come in and pick it up". I said no, I want the prescription transferred to Sam's. When you are not able to accommodate my needs when sometimes I can drive through to pick up a prescription and other times I can't, especially when you have posted hours that represent your availability for drive-through, I won't continue to use you. I did call Sam's and ask for them to call you to transfer the 40 mg prescription. They did, on two separate occasions, asking for the prescription to be transferred. When the prescription was finally transferred, it was for the 20 mg RX and not the 40 mg which I specifically requested and dr had ordered. I will continue to use Sam's pharmacy despite that the prescription was a little bit higher in cost than Safeway. If you cannot provide efficient, customer service, the end result is you lose customers. As a retired teacher, I assessed performance of students for many years. And this is not how you keep and retain customers. This is below average when I specifically ask for a prescription to be transferred and then I receive a phone call with a voicemail. "We're just letting you know that your prescription will only be held a few more days and then we'll be put back on shelf. Really?? The left hand needs to know what the right hand is doing. Perhaps your folks are overwhelmed because of the Academy and Union store being closed so hopefully you'll improve in time but this customer is done.

Absolutely the worst experience at a pharmacy in my life and I am 49 years old. When Safeway on Academy and Union closed recently they automatically transferred my prescriptions here. I assumed that I was going to be met with the same respect and availability of my medication since I had been receiving my medication for months from the previous Safeway I was COMPLETELY wrong. The pharmacist was so judgmental, rude and disrespectful. He not only made me feel anxious but also uncomfortable just for refilling medication that I have been taking for months. Due to his lack of knowledge and ignorance, he disrupted my medical treatment which is physically and mentally damaging. Please do not take your prescriptions here. Literally anywhere else would be an improvement.

After speaking with the pharmacy manager, I feel a little more comfortable getting my prescriptions at this pharmacy. Unfortunately he seemed more defensive as he offered a "somewhat" apology. The clerk who does the check out at the P.O.S., guy with hair in a ponytail, is super friendly, very nice, always positive and I appreciate someone who knows how to give proper customer service. Thank you.
