Everything was great except for Alyssa. She made the stay horrible! I can’t believe she is allowed to work with mental health patients.

Holding off on a complete review because the services have been incomplete. Patient has been released and, by law, PeakView must schedule a follow-up with a Dr within 7 days. It has been a few days since release and the staff to answer this is unreachable. A maze of voice messages that go unanswered and UNEMPATHETIC receptionists and crisis workers that only shuffle you off to a void of answering machines!!! Going in to the hospital in person is even more frustrating as you see in their uncaring eyes that they don’t give a damn about you! Also I see here that the ‘owner’ is quick to respond to reviews but deflects concerns to a damned email address. Watch this space

I am writing to formally express serious concerns regarding my four-day stay on Unit 200 from October 6th through October 10th. While I received excellent care from a number of staff members, the unprofessional and unacceptable conduct of two specific technicians warrants immediate attention and investigation.
Mental health facilities are entrusted with caring for patients during their most vulnerable moments, where compassion, respect, and empathy are essential components of treatment. This standard of care was demonstrably violated by two individuals: Tech Alyssa and Tech Daiane.
Their attitude and tone when interacting with patients were consistently dismissive and inappropriate. This is not solely my personal observation; I proactively spoke with other patients on the unit, and their feedback was universally consistent with my own negative experience. As a medical professional myself, I understand that medical personnel are often the sole source of support for patients experiencing profound difficulties, and their conduct fell drastically short of the professional standards required for this field. No one is forced into a caregiving career, and they should not be permitted to take out personal frustrations on vulnerable patients.
It is distressing that despite the positive care I received from others, the memory of my stay will be dominated by the disrespectful treatment from these two technicians.
Conversely, I wish to commend several Unit 200 technicians who exemplify the compassionate spirit necessary in patient care:
All night-shift staff who worked between October 6th and October 10th, including the new set of techs who worked the night before my discharge.
A specific blonde-haired female tech who I estimate to be 5'4" with a pleasant demeanor and notably "chubby cheeks." She worked with Tech Alyssa on at least two occasions and consistently maintained an incredibly positive, cheerful, and encouraging aura with all patients. She is a credit to your institution.
As a veteran, I understand that the actions of a few individuals can negatively impact the reputation of the entire organization. I urge Peak View to conduct an immediate internal review regarding the conduct of Techs Alyssa and Daiane and to implement a more rigorous system for patient-reported reviews of staff care and hiring standards.

Oh the things I can say. Let’s start with the fact they took me to a room and made me strip down to my underwear with no warning, after being informed about my sexual trauma. Techs would take the drinking water as a punishment. I was told I was on a mandatory hold, causing a huge amount of stress, just to find out that was never true! On multiple occasions I was threatened to be tube fed for not wanting to eat the practical slop they serve. I had a therapist directly tell me that I was in this facility because I “didn’t want help” and had the same therapist tell me “well you get what you put out into the world” after I finally opened up. And to wrap it all up on the day of my discharge a tech told me I was not leaving!! Blocked most of my experience out because it traumatized me and made me afraid of seeking care in the future. Save your kids. Don’t send them here.
