This was my first time visiting this location, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any CorePower. I arrived on time for the 10:30 AM class and spent a minute checking in. When I entered the studio, I immediately noticed a dirty towel shoved under the side door, sweat stains on the wall, and air that felt heavy and unclean — not what I’ve experienced at other CorePower studios.
The instructor, Julie, was unnecessarily rude from the start. While I was adjusting my mat at the beginning of class, she leaned over and told me to be quieter. Throughout the class, she repeatedly singled me out for small corrections, which felt targeted and made me uncomfortable. Even when I paused to take a sip of water, she gave me judgmental looks.
The air quality was bothering me, so I stepped outside for a moment to catch my breath. Julie followed me out and told me I could either stay in class or leave. I told her that I didn’t like the air quality and she excused the unclean air as “humidity.” When I mentioned that I planned to contact corporate about the experience, she responded sarcastically, saying she’d tell them I was a bad student. That kind of response was incredibly unprofessional and condescending.
When I went back inside to grab my things, she tried to escort me out while I was putting on my socks and shoes, insisting I do it outside — on the concrete, which is unsanitary. I told her that was unreasonable, but she kept pushing me to leave. It was an unnecessary and unpleasant way to handle the situation.
Another staff member later implied I was late, even though I arrived right at 10:30 when class was supposed to start.
I’ve practiced hot yoga at other CorePower locations and have always had great experiences, but this Aurora studio needs serious improvement in professionalism, cleanliness, and respect toward guests. After posting this, I also noticed that I’m not the only one who’s had a negative experience with Julie — another reviewer mentioned similar concerns, which says a lot.

Love Corepower Yoga Aurora. However, recently they constantly change classes so I cannot rely on a schedule. That is very hard for someone who works 40 hours a week and squeezes in favorite classes when possible. I have been a member for 16 years since it opened, but this is very difficult! Additionally, some instructors don’t have it as heated yoga due to their preference, So then I need to find different classes in the metro area, Tough to keep a consistent practice in my favorite studio in Aurora
