The person in charge of our 30 minute season was enthusiastic and gave great detail in explaining all of the rules. She also went the extra mile to take plenty of videos and photos on our phone as keepsakes. During the 30 minutes we were able to connect to a speaker and play our own music. They also provided cold water bottles and a snack for after our session which really gave the experience an extra touch. I will definitely be back!

I can’t support a company that skirts on not fully paying an artist. You should be ashamed of yourselves. In response to your rebuttal I never claimed to have used your services but reviewing what I know about this company thus far I don’t believe Id want to support it seeing how you didn’t pay the artist yet there’s TikTok videos out there with the artist work on it. So you’re using his art that’s evident. If you really had a big issue with the artist then you wouldn’t use the work he did do. Would you now? And I am not a fake account I’m a real person that uses a real TikTok account and saw it first hand. And so what if he has a criminal background. Big deal. You made a deal to have art commissioned for you. How does his background pertain to services rendered? The artist is the one that was disrespected on not you. That much is evident in the TikTok videos. And I may add in the TikTok video it appears he did the logo rendered the same as your business logo so I don’t really see the issue. It looks like there’s a sledge hammer painted in the middle of it. I didn’t see that on your logo but so what it still looks cool. It conveys the message of what you sell. I know this artist and have worked with him before. He’s very agreeable and has a great reputation in the art community. It seems like maybe you’re a difficult person to work with. Maybe you should try showing more empathy for people. His background frankly is none of your business either. If you failed to check it from the get go of doing business then now since things didn’t go your way you try and list that as a means to justify your action of not paying the artist. Maybe you should do a deep dive into how you do business with people. You probably saw him as a lot of people see artists as “easy targets” to get out of paying. This isn’t anything new where a business doesn’t pay or fully pay for services rendered by an artist. There’s thousands of stories just like this and sadly this probably won’t be the last time this happens. But seriously go read your comment and look at how vicious your rebuttal appears. And then go pay the artist. Absolute disgusting behavior and actions from a supposed distinguished business person such as yourself. So here’s the photos. So he didn’t do what you asked? NO. Under NO circumstance will customers be seen WITHOUT an appointment. Smash RX serves as both a private therapeutic practice and a recreational hub. For this reason an appointment is necessary to ensure the safety, quality of care and integrity of our business. Without an appointment you will be turned away and ushered to our website to make an appointment.
Do I need to arrive early to complete my waiver?
NO, there’s no need to arrive early. Waivers can be completed when you arrive. Just make sure all participants aged 16 and up complete their own waiver before entering the Smash Room.
What should I wear?
You must wear closed-toed and closed-back shoes. Absolutely no shorts are allowed. Please come dressed accordingly for safety reasons.
How old do I need to be to participate?
Participants must be at least 16 years old to take part in all activities independently. Those under 16 will need an ADULT (over 18) in the room with them. The minimum age to participate is 12 years old.
What is Destruction Therapy?
Destruction Therapy is a coping technique in which people break and destroy various items in order release their emotions in a safe appropriate environment. Our “Rage Rooms” provide a secure and monitored arena for anyone experiencing the very normal feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, depression, stress, who want to release them. Not to mention, it’s just pure fun!
Is this safe?
Yes. Our number one priority at Smash RX is safety. We provide all necessary safety gear for our clients. We also provide tools/materials that are not harmful to humans in any way.
Is this actual therapy?
It can be! Destruction therapy itself is an innovative therapeutic process based on the idea that taking out stress and anxiety on inanimate objects can be therapeutic and cathartic. Most importantly, when it comes to destructo-therapy, all negative emotion are directed towards inanimate objects. The use of a smash room highlights the immediate rewards of destruction and reduced tension. It offers a moment of adrenaline and relief. However, this will not replace traditional therapy. It is an added benefit and will produce favorable results but should not be used as a replacement for traditional therapy.
Can I bring my own stuff to smash?
Yes! Bring over those old frames pictures of your ex for example! We have a bring your own breakables package. All items must be approved by staff. We also have a restricted items list you can see on our “BYOB” section of our website.
