First I want to say the front of house staff and dental hygienist were very nice and helpful. I found the dentist to be incredibly patronising and honestly, insulting. I had build up in behind a few teeth, literally just my lower bottoms, and was scolded like a child. I was also told it was “unacceptable” because I was a “mother of young children.” The actual cleaning was pretty rough as well. I know a trip to the dentist is never the most pleasant experience, but this was particularly unpleasant.
- RRRobert RiceFeb 22, 20221.0The dentist is kind, knowledgeable and gentle. His secretary Dmitry however, is one stubborn angry guy. We won't be back simply because of him. We sent formal written requests 12-20-21 and 02-21-22 for copies of our x-rays and charts which by law they are required to provide within 15 days. He however has refused indicating the account is past due. Dmitry wrote: "Radiography for delinquent accounts will not be released until accounts are settled." Dentists are not allowed to withhold patient records regardless of the status of the financial account. And I gave him my credit card authorization on 12/31/2021. It's only "past due" because of him. Instead of charging my card and submitting the bills to our insurance correctly, he says he sent our account to collection. This is just one of many administrative mistakes he's made. I've asked him to fix his errors and have even helped him as much as I can by contacting our insurance myself. I've provided him with names, phone numbers and case reference numbers and instructions on what to do. He either isn't capable or is just too stubborn and angry to admit he made mistakes. Again, the dentist is good but his secretary Dmitry isn't. It's such a bummer for us because we really like Dr. Kolchansky.
