  Just got off the phone with Naomi. She is the most sweetest, kindest receptionist! She answered all my questions and concerns and gave me peace of mind I have been looking for! She was so attentive, kind and nice. Please recognize her work. I was very upset about other dental locations I called to, but Naomi made this process 100 times smoother and better. A++ Naomi!!!! Happy new year ! Excited for my first appointment thanks to her!

  This is new dentist for me. I came in for an exam and cleaning. They were very efficient and I like the digital exam. Staff is friendly. I do need some oral surgery and the quote was explained and options for payment after insurance was discussed. I am referring my husband after the new year.

  BE AWARE VIRTUAL EXAMS CAN BE INACCURATE AND LEAD TO UNNECESSARY TREATMENTS!!! I don’t like writing a bad review but if you are like me where you work so much that it’s difficult to make time for the dentist, I’d think twice about coming here. 11/24/2025 Zak Dental I came with a red swollen gum that had a white circle as well and it hurt so much, even while just sitting. I made the appointment for 9:50 and things were going smoothly. The dental hygienist retook 2 of the x-ray photos about 10 times because she couldn’t get it right. I was kind and understood she was new. After the x-ray it was 10:25 and I was put in a room to wait to speak to the doctor. Once Dr.Zak joined virtually, at 11:15, I told him what was going on and he told me that the redness was swelling from gum recession and the white was bone that was exposed. I told him I wasn’t sure that was the case and wanted someone to look at it in person to which his dental assistant Faith said “you came here once in 2022 and it was a virtual visit, did you not expect this one to be virtual as well”. I began trying to explain activities what make the pain worse and the doctor kept talking over me saying “i know. i know. i know” and then started explaining why it wasn’t a cavity. Feeling uneasy about the gum graft treatment plan that was given to me, the doctor said that the periodontist could make a better call about the diagnosis and said that the periodontists was available 12/12/2025. I tried taking the appointment and then Faith (the assistant) asked me how I would be paying the $2,157. I was confused and she told me I had to pay the treatment in full BEFORE the appointment. I declined and they offered me a $90 desensitization cream that the doctor said would protect my exposed gum which I desperately paid for. 11/25/2025 Alvarado Dental Group I felt like I made no progress at Zak dental so I went in person to walk into an in person dental office that takes my insurance. The Dr took a look at my gum and reassured that there was no exposed bone whatsoever and that I had an apthaus ulcer, likely due to stress (my job does stress me out a bit) . The doctor advised that I rinse with salt water and the throbbing pain would be gone in 1-2 weeks. All in all, the front desk at Zak dental is amazing and their technology is awesome as well but my virtual appointment with the doctor took from 9:50-12:15, the diagnosis was inaccurate (due to the dr not seeing me in person) and they tried to charge me thousands of dollars upfront (WEEKS in advance) for a treatment plan that wasn’t even accurate.
