They are so caring. Ask you if you’re safe and being supported on your decision and if not how can they help you if you want to follow through or not they want to help. PPH has a bad rep. I believe in God and I believe PPH is trying to support women and children. The support from nurses and doctors is by far the best and most genuine. They don’t discriminate against certain insurances like a lot of practices in SD. The nurses that work here aren’t your average nurse they’re very caring and professional but genuinely trying to keep you safe and help you choose what you feel is best while being safe, gentle, caring and very clean. Women are not being supported on the family unit as a whole in America especially not by men. Planned Parenthood is dealing with the broken systems, and society, picking up the pieces to keep everyone safe. I hope they don’t get shut down because there are too many vulnerable women who need help.

I haven’t been to PP in over 10 years especially when seeking a provider through the insurance network. It was time to get my IUD removed. However, my IUD strings were not visible and was referred to get an ultrasound. My provider then wanted to schedule for outpatient surgery for the retrieval which would cost 7k. I went for a second opinion and then reached out to PP for retrieval which was unsuccessful. However, referred to another PP for comp care.
The team involved in my care was so efficient, kind, graceful and compassionate. The amazing team consist of MA Angie, RN Val, Dr. Mulligan and Dr. Rooney. They collaborated with each other and also involved myself in the plan of care. I was comfortable and most importantly felt safe.
With guided ultrasound, the retrieval was successful on the first attempt. I’m so happy they offered paracervical block, I did not feel a thing.
My appointment was roughly 3 hours which I was made aware of. However, the Procedure only took 5-10 minutes. So stay entertained and dress comfortable. I’m so grateful for PP. Lastly, thankful for the low cost for preventative care. They have exceeded every expectations. Thank you Planned parenthood for offering necessary reproductive healthcare service making it accessible and available.
