- LYLogan YokouchiMar 17, 20255.0I was apprehensive to go to this Planned Parenthood because of the reviews, but they were able to get me an appointment the same day, so I decided to go anyway. Fortunately, I had a great experience here with them!! Previously, I got my birth control from my hometown doctor (out-of-state) and then from an online delivery service where I was paying $30 a month. So, I now needed a new prescription, preferably cheaper than what I was paying. I was ready to self-pay $20 a month because my insurance is always dodgy. I went in just at my appointment time, and the front desk was very kind and welcoming, they even went out of their way to check my insurance, which was labeled as out-of-network on the website. I had to wait probably around 15 minutes in the lobby altogether doing paperwork, waiting for insurance, then the doctor. The front desk checking my insurance was so helpful and kind that I ended up getting covered and not needing to pay anything! The nurse and doctor were very concise, efficient, and friendly. It was a breeze to get my regular prescription and send it to my regular pharmacy. I appreciate this Planned Parenthood so much, that I really wanted to write a good review because they were very efficient and more importantly, were genuinely helpful in getting me accessible and affordable health care.
