This was my first visit to Planned Parenthood, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The doctors and staff were so kind and made me feel completely at ease. I was a walk-in, so the wait was a little longer, but I didn’t mind. My sister had come here before with an appointment and was seen right away, so I’d definitely recommend scheduling ahead if possible.
Despite how busy it was, the nurses were attentive and patient. I came in to learn how far along I was and to discuss my pregnancy options, and I left feeling truly understood, respected, and cared for (which meant a lot to me).
The doctor was also wonderful: welcoming, supportive, and informative. Even the front desk and customer service were excellent.
Overall, this location has an outstanding team. From the lobby to the exam room, I felt safe and cared for every step of the way. Thank you to everyone here for the important work you do!

Read this if you’re a pregnant Women who wants to be treated with ANY type of respect. If you don’t want to read all this, long story short, take your business to the roseville location. Coming here was like a cultural shock. The nurse was just very dry and un-sympathetic, just very monotone, which I can definitely even get past as we have ALL had bad days at work. The actual doctor/provider who came in to see me was absolutely awful. She insisted something about a blood draw which of course, is her job, not rudely, but sternly I said no blood draw (I have my reasons and I wanted to make it clear it wasn’t happening to avoid her asking again) she then said, “well if nothing shows up on the ultrasound we’re going to have to draw your blood” (keep in mind if nothing came up on the ultrasound, I was OKAY with not getting my abortion that day) I wasn’t arguing her saying, “well I’m gonna get it anyways and I’m gonna do this or that”, I let her do her job, just telling her needles wont be involved today. I said, “no, that is not happening, today that will not be happening, at this appointment that will NOT be happening” she looks at me with the most disgusted face like I took her first born child, and said to me “is there a reason you have attitude towards me, you don’t need to be like that” I said “ma’am I am not being like anything, I told you no blood draw, so no blood draw, you’re not able to force that in this appointment and if I want to refuse that treatment you don’t get to keep insisting until I bend” she just said once again “no need to act like that” and I absolutely moved on as the conversation was going nowhere. I understand that the 29th street location you must get a-lot of trashy and very rude people, but that does not mean you get to act rude to every customer who walks in the door. Please also keep in mind, this is WOMENS HEALTH department, do you think that if you have a job working with PREGNANT women that you’re not gonna experience a bit of attitude from them? If I offended my provider due to being STERN on whats happening on MY body that day, sorry to hear that, but maybe if sensitive, crying, pregnant women get you SO aggravated, then maybe women’s health is NOT the department for you. I’ve already made an official complaint and plan to follow up on that until I am either responded or apologized to, that was absolutely not okay. I have never felt like being such a Karen than I do right now because I don’t want people to be put in that same position. I take part that I may have come off a bit harsh, but that being said, and this is the last time I will say it, if you can’t handle a line of work where genuinely EVERY day you’re GOING to experience someone who’s personality you bump heads with, I think you should find a different career path that doesn’t involve sensitive, vulnerable, pregnant women. Also just to add a cherry on top, this won’t and wouldn’t be part of my official complaint as this is something up to the providers discretion, but I did find it funny. I have a condition called HG which if you don’t know, it basically gives you all day 24/7 unrelenting nausea, that cant go untreated as it usually means you cant keep food or liquid down which can become harmful quick. They provide pregnancy nausea pills at planned parenthood, Im definitely not a regular, but I have had to go through this one time before, which again was at roseville, where the doctor was more than happy to help me with my nausea, these pills aren’t addictive or imperative or anything, so yes they CAN just give them out if they need. Its “Promethazine”. When at the end of the appointment, since I wasn’t terminating the pregnancy that day, I asked if I could get sent those home for my nausea, just like last time, and it was a flat out no. Then out of curiosity I called my beloved Roseville location which then told me, “While it is up to the providers discretion, if you’re dealing with severe nausea you’re provider SHOULD have given something to you at the end of your appointment.
