On January 31, 2026 I had my eye exam with Warby Parker (Pasadena location).
Prior to the exam, the technician gathered basic information and then took digital retinal images (six total). Then I had my eye exam with the Warby Parker doctor. The retinal images were not reviewed or discussed during the exam and I forgot to ask about them. That’s not how it should be done. At all of previous eye exams, my optometrist always review the retinal images with me regarding my eye health.
From the exam, the Warby Parker doctor said my vision hasn’t changed so my prescription will be the same. So they checked me out and I paid for the eye exam. I also placed my contacts order and paid for them too.
A few days later the contacts arrived in the mail and that’s when I discovered the contacts don’t match my current prescription (expired January 2026). Instead, they match the prescription from a 2020/2021. The new contacts I received is based off of an old prescription from 2020/2021 and not my most recent expired prescription (January 2026).
Warby Parker only has my contacts prescription from 2020/2021, which I had uploaded back then to order contacts from them. Since then the newer prescriptions that they have on record are for glasses.
It appears that from this eye exam with Warby Parker, they simply created a new prescription based off of my 2020/2021 prescription. All the numbers (lens power, etc.) are identical of my old prescription. Warby gave me an old and wrong prescription and the retinal imaging was never even discussed.
I’ve reached out to customer service and they are refusing to issue a refund even though they acknowledged the discrepancy in the prescription that was provided at the exam.
