My company had instructed me that this was the only hospital available in LA, so I traveled for an hour to get here. Despite this, the staff judged me solely by my appearance and said, “No English?” This was extremely insulting, especially since I am a U.S. citizen. I was almost turned away, but I explained, “My family is not sure if I have influenza. I came only because my company instructed me to come here.” My company had already contacted the hospital, and my family even took time off work to bring me. Nevertheless, I was told to leave. This experience was degrading, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. I am filing this complaint so that this behavior is formally investigated and does not happen to anyone else.

Nurse William informed me that she has done this more than a few times, that she is “picky” about who she will see, and when he asked her if she would see me, she flat out said “no.” Why is Dr. Latoya working at an Urgent Care is she doesn’t want to help people and consistently refuses medical care? I would recommend management takes care of this issue before it becomes a legal matter.
