I am so very happy with Brookdale, I know my mom is EXTREMELY happy here, and the staff is AWESOME - every single person is caring and very loving to my mom. And a special shoutout please to Nurse Delmas ( sorry in advance if I spelled her name wrong) but she is INCREDIBLE - will contact me quickly and explain everything so I understand everything. My mom adores her, she is very loving and does all the sweet little things that truly make a difference, like bring he tea when her stomach hurts and things like covering her with a blanket when she is cold - THANK YOU NURSE DELMAS WE DO APPRECIATE YOU! It's not easy placing your loved one in a memory care facility, however I found it is the best for everyone one concerned. Sometimes you have no choice. I was faced with this decision one year ago. I'm glad I chose Brookdale, Kettleman Lane. It was difficult finding a place that would accept my husband with his behavior issues. Fortunately, Priscilla at Brookdale, kettleman Lane agreed to accept my husband. I will be forever grateful to her and Angela and all the staff. Of course you think no one will take as good of care as yourself of your loved one and that may be true, however the staff at Brookdale comes very close. They are very caring and kind, not only with the resident, but the residents relatives as well. I visited my husband almost daily so I had a chance to observe not only how they treated him, but how they treated the other residence (even when they didn't know I was watching). They didn't just keep him in his room and/or in bed, he was up, dressed and clean every day. Their patience and kindness goes above and beyond. I call them angels. Yes, it is expensive, however the price of peace and mind is priceless. It was important for me to find a place that I didn't mind visiting daily. The facility is very nice and I grew to feel it was my home away from home. They not only have to deal with the resident, but the residents relative and all the different doctors! In my opinion they do an awesome job. If you are ever faced with this decision, please do yourself a favor and consider Brookdale, Kettleman Lane. They are truly amazing!
